Summer Reading

I'm Not Being Fed by Jeff Cavins

Join Jeff Cavins this summer as he explores the significance of the Holy Eucharist in his book “I’m Not Being Fed: Discovering the Food that Satisfies the Soul.” Cavins offers insights into why some Catholics struggle to understand and appreciate this sacrament and how the Eucharist can fulfill the need for a more spiritually nourishing relationship with Jesus.

Follow along with Cavins' reading plan and Q&A sessions on Facebook to deepen your understanding of the Eucharist and cultivate a richer connection with Christ. The reading plan starts on June 17 and goes until August 16. You can purchase the books through Ascension Press’s website.

Bible Study

Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible

Many Catholics want to read the Bible but get bogged down by the long stretches that seem not to make sense or get lost among the sea of Old Testament names and places. Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible, an eight-part Bible study, helps uncover the overarching story of Scripture. A unique color-coded Bible Timeline Chart arranges key people, places, and events in chronological order. This study will help you read the Bible confidently and understand how you fit into God’s plan.

The eight-part Bible study begins on Friday, August 23. We are offering sessions at two different times - 9:30 in the morning and 6:30 in the evening. For more details, reach out to Tyler in the parish office at tpakka@joanofarc.org or (419) 866-6181 ext. 123
